Week 15 NFL Power Rankings

Posted: December 12, 2016 in NFL

The Cowboys retain the #1 spot despite losing on Sunday Night. They dropped about 5 points off of their power rating. Falcons spanked the Rams and got Jeff Fisher fired, which for some reason is a very hard thing to do, and moved up to #2. Patriots, Steelers and Chiefs round out the top 5. The Packers jumped 8 spots and are all the way up to 12. They ranked as low as 26 before their 3 game win streak. The Giants, Titans and Panthers all moved up a decent amount this week as well. Meanwhile, the Seahawks, Chargers, Colts all fell 5 or more spots in the rankings.

This year has felt very unknown in the sense that no one really can say with any amount of certainty who will be playing in the Super Bowl and my rankings reflect that. Currently, the Cowboys lead with a POWER score of 72.7%. Last season, there were 4 teams with ratings above this and it is a truly shows that their are no great/elite teams in the NFL this year. I think the playoffs will be very interesting. In speaking of playoffs, you can see projected end of season standings here.
