Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals finished last season 7-8-1, their first losing season of Bruce Arians tenure. Arians will return for his fifth season with the team. Harold Goodwin continues his role as offensive coordinator with the team. Goodwin has worked under Arians for 11 consecutive seasons. James Bettcher will enter his third season as defensive coordinator for the Cardinals.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams finished their first season in Los Angeles at 4-12 and parted ways with Jeff Fisher during the season. They hired young Sean McVay in the offseason. McVay served as offensive coordinator for the Redskins the last three seasons. McVay brought in Matt LaFluer to serve as offensive coordinator. LaFluer served as the quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. The Rams also hired Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator. Phillips, of course, led the excellent Broncos defense the last two seasons and has been coaching in the NFL for 39 seasons.

The 49ers officially ended the Chip Kelly experiment after their 2-14 season, and hired Kyle Shanahan, son of Mike, as head coach. Shanahan served as the Falcons offensive coordinator for the last two seasons. Shanahan will call the plays and the 49ers have not hired an offensive coordinator. Robert Saleh is the new defensive coordinator for the 49ers. Saleh previously served as the Jaguars’ linebackers coach for the last three seasons.
